Citizens who complain about not having any say in their government haven't tried exercising their power in their local community. At the last meeting, there were all of about 2 citizens there. Me and one other. The rest of the people there are usually government workers, media, and those corporate parasites living off of the taxpaying citizens, only there to make sure their special interest will be continued through the handing out of crack..oops I mean grants, which of course is nothing more than taxpayer money. So if you are a fan of socialism and centrally planned governments, you will love these meetings and if you are not a fan well then get your hiney down there and start fighting against it. You can and do have power...if you don't believe me, send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I have some stories tell...true I might add.
What is your government centrally planning Monday? Well, our very own taxpayer funded Loosahatchie Pedestrian Bridge over troubled waters...actually more like a pedestrian bridge connecting gang-infested areas but the other sounded so cool....
Take a look at the Utopian plans here...but know this...on either side of the bridge are some of the most crime-ridden gang-infested areas of Memphis. So now those two areas will be connected. Great, can I have some rainbows and butterflies with my propaganda sandwhich?
I can imagine the hot air ballons being target practice but it sure does look cool. It's only monopoly money right, grants??? That's free money right???and if we don't use it somebody else will???
Not hardly...hope to see you there.
