A clip of Obama speaking to women is played: "So to anyone that says 77 cents on the dollar sounds pretty close to equal, I say your math is bad."
"I voted for you," laments the young woman. "I voted for you twice."
Her commentary continues:
The thing is, the wage gap is not what they wish it was. I basically call it "wishful thinking." The wage gap is basically the average earnings of men and women who work full-time. It didn't count for occupation, it didn't count for hours worked, and it didn't count for job position.
Men do not make more than women working in the same job and I cannot believe that this lie is parroted so often by people.
It all comes down to personal choice. Dudes tend to take more higher paying jobs, which are like IT jobs, engineering jobs, boring ass science jobs. While women tend to take more care-taking jobs and social science jobs which tend to pay less. So, this is America. We have the right to choose this. Shouldn't that be what feminism is about? Giving women the right to choose?
So why am I being guilt-tripped to join a STEM field while your dumbass majors in gender studies? You chose to major in gender studies. You will probably get a job, uh, related to gender studies. That job will probably pay like sh*t. Congratulations, you big dumb idiot, you're the reason the wage gap exists!
