Katie Couric, former gatekeeper of information, has come out with an anti-gun documentary meant to play on your emotions and encourage more gun control.
So here's Katie yesterday backing up this deceptive editing by her director who said this "I never intended to make anyone look bad and I apologize if anyone felt that way." And Katie says “I support Stephanie’s statement and am very proud of the film.”
Fast forward to today's Katie ...“This was an unnecessary mistake,” an individual with knowledge of Couric’s thinking told TheWrap. And goes on to say this ...“This was an unnecessary mistake,” the individual told TheWrap. “It did not represent editing someone’s sentences, there was no factual error, this is not a mistake that is a substantive mistake. It could have been avoided,” he said, adding: “This was a poor decision that was made and it involves silence.”
This was not an unnecessary mistake.
It was deliberate.
It was deceptive.
It was done to make these citizens look like the morons you elitists all imagine us in flyover country to be.
Not a "substantive mistake"???....Au contraire. It is a substantive mistake. A mistake that will live in infamy. A mistake has put you in Dan Rather and Brian Williams territory.
The old gatekeepers don't realize the earth has shifted under them. The new gatekeepers are thousands of social media accounts sharing information they have learned at breakneck speed and thousands of bloggers who don't have to be spoon fed the news from an industry whose purpose is nothing but the truth. The new gatekeepers didn't even change the locks. They just started doing your job for you.
